Correction and Retraction Policy

At "ESTUDIAR: Jurnal Penelitian Multidisiplin Mahasiswa," we are committed to maintaining the integrity and credibility of the research published in our journal. We adhere to clear policies regarding corrections and retractions in cases where errors, misconduct, or other issues are identified after publication. Our policies aim to ensure transparency and accuracy in the scientific record.

Correction Policy:

  1. Minor Errors: In the event of minor errors, such as typographical errors, omissions, or small inaccuracies that do not significantly affect the overall findings or conclusions of a published article, the editorial team will publish a correction notice. The correction notice will clearly state the nature of the error and provide the correct information.

  2. Major Errors: If significant errors that could impact the scientific understanding or conclusions of a published article are identified, the editorial team will work with the authors to assess the severity of the error. If deemed necessary, a formal correction notice will be published, highlighting the corrections and their impact on the original article.

Retraction Policy:

  1. Misconduct or Serious Errors: In cases of serious errors, data fabrication, plagiarism, unethical research practices, or any form of scientific misconduct, the editorial team may initiate the retraction process. Retraction will be considered when the validity and integrity of the article's findings are in question.

  2. Author Request: Authors may request the retraction of their published article if they discover significant errors or discrepancies that cannot be corrected. The editorial team will carefully evaluate the request and, if warranted, proceed with the retraction process.

  3. Retraction Notice: In cases where an article is retracted, a formal retraction notice will be published. The notice will clearly state the reasons for retraction, indicating whether it was due to errors, misconduct, or author request. The retracted article will remain accessible on the journal's website, but it will be clearly marked as "Retracted" to alert readers to its status.

  4. Editorial Discretion: The decision to retract an article will be made by the editorial team, with consideration of input from peer reviewers, authors, and experts in the relevant field. The retraction decision will be made impartially and objectively.

Appeals and Concerns: Authors or readers who have concerns about the accuracy or integrity of published content can contact the editorial team to express their concerns. If necessary, the editorial team will initiate an investigation into the matter and take appropriate actions, which may include issuing corrections or retractions.

We are committed to upholding the highest standards of publishing ethics and academic integrity. Our correction and retraction policies are designed to address any issues that may arise and maintain the credibility and reputation of "ESTUDIAR."
