Plagiarism Policy

At DEVOZIONE: Jurnal Pengabdian Multidisiplin Mahasiswa, we take plagiarism seriously and adhere to a strict plagiarism policy to maintain the highest standards of academic integrity and originality. Plagiarism in any form is not tolerated, and all submitted manuscripts are subject to thorough plagiarism checks before and during the peer review process. The maximum acceptable similarity index, including both direct quotes and paraphrased content, is 30%.

Definition of Plagiarism:

Plagiarism is defined as the use of someone else's work, ideas, or intellectual property without proper acknowledgment or permission, presenting it as one's own. This includes, but is not limited to:

  1. Copying and pasting text from other sources without proper citation.
  2. Paraphrasing content from other works without giving appropriate credit to the original source.
  3. Using figures, tables, or images from other publications without obtaining permission and providing proper attribution.
  4. Self-plagiarism, which involves reusing one's previously published work without proper citation or permission.

Plagiarism Check:

All submitted manuscripts undergo a plagiarism check using reputable plagiarism detection software. Authors are required to ensure that their work is original and has not been published elsewhere. Additionally, any content, including direct quotes and paraphrased text, must be properly cited and attributed to the original source.

Acceptable Similarity Index:

DEVOZIONE aims to maintain a maximum acceptable similarity index of 30%. Manuscripts with a similarity index exceeding this threshold will be carefully evaluated by the editorial team and subjected to a detailed review process to determine the extent of the plagiarized content.

Consequences of Plagiarism:

If plagiarism is detected in a submitted manuscript:

  1. The manuscript will be rejected, and the authors will be notified of the plagiarism violation.
  2. The authors may be temporarily or permanently banned from submitting to DEVOZIONE in the future.
  3. In cases of severe plagiarism, where a significant portion of the manuscript is found to be plagiarized, the authors' institution may be notified.

Appeals and Corrections:

If authors believe that the similarity index is falsely elevated due to legitimate reasons such as proper citation or common phrases, they can appeal to the editorial office. The editorial team will review the appeal and make appropriate adjustments if necessary.

Authors are responsible for ensuring the originality of their work and must take all necessary measures to avoid plagiarism. By submitting a manuscript to DEVOZIONE, authors affirm that their work is original and complies with the journal's plagiarism policy.
