Peer Review Process

The peer review process is a crucial aspect of maintaining the quality and integrity of scholarly publications in DEVOZIONE: Jurnal Pengabdian Multidisiplin Mahasiswa. All submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous and anonymous peer review by experts in the relevant field. The peer review process ensures that only high-quality, original, and well-researched articles are published, contributing to the advancement of knowledge and the credibility of the journal. The following outlines the peer review process in DEVOZIONE:

  1. Initial Screening: Upon receiving a manuscript, the editorial team conducts an initial screening to assess its suitability for the journal's scope and adherence to the author guidelines. Manuscripts that meet the basic criteria are sent for further review.

  2. Reviewer Selection: The editorial team selects potential reviewers with expertise in the subject area of the submitted manuscript. Reviewers are chosen based on their research experience and familiarity with the topic to provide valuable and constructive feedback.

  3. Double-Blind Review: DEVOZIONE follows a double-blind peer review process, ensuring the anonymity of both the authors and the reviewers. The identities of the authors and reviewers are not disclosed to each other during the review process.

  4. Peer Review: The selected reviewers thoroughly evaluate the manuscript's content, methodology, originality, significance, and adherence to ethical standards. They provide detailed comments and recommendations to the authors.

  5. Editorial Decision: Based on the reviewers' feedback, the editor-in-chief or handling editor makes an editorial decision, which may include one of the following outcomes:

    • Acceptance: The manuscript is accepted for publication without major revisions.
    • Minor Revisions: The manuscript requires minor revisions to address specific reviewer comments.
    • Major Revisions: The manuscript requires significant revisions and additional experimentation to improve its quality.
    • Rejection: The manuscript does not meet the journal's standards and is not suitable for publication.
  6. Author Revision and Resubmission: If revisions are requested, the authors are asked to make the necessary changes and provide a point-by-point response to the reviewers' comments. The revised manuscript is re-evaluated by the editor and reviewers.

  7. Final Decision: Following the author's revision, the editor makes a final decision, considering the suitability of the revisions and the reviewers' satisfaction with the changes made.

  8. Publication: Once the manuscript is accepted, it undergoes the final editing and formatting process before being published in the upcoming issue of DEVOZIONE.

The peer review process in DEVOZIONE aims to ensure that the published articles maintain high academic standards, foster scholarly communication, and contribute to the development of multidisciplinary community service projects by student researchers.
