Abstract

The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The source of the data in this research is Megawati Soekarnoputri's utterances on the KOMPASTV YouTube channel which contain the forms and functions of illocutionary speech acts. The data collection technique used is note-taking technique. The data analysis technique in this study is transcript data analysis. The results of the study of Megawati Soekarnoputri's Illocutionary Speech Actions in the Pancasila Kick Off Meeting Event in Action found 31 assertive speech forms, 10 directive data, 15 expressive data, 1 data commissive, 1 data declarative. Assertive utterances are divided into 8 forms, namely suggesting 6 utterances, showing 4 utterances, speculating 2 utterances, declaring 10 utterances, reporting 2 utterances, expressing opinions 4 utterances, claiming 1 utterance, and affirming 2 utterances. There are 4 types of directive utterances, the directive advises 5 utterances, the directive asks for 1 utterance, the directive confirms 1 utterance, and instructs with a total of 3 utterances. Expressive utterances are divided into 4 forms, namely expressive giving thanks 3 utterances, expressive praising 3 utterances, expressive mocking 7 utterances, and apologizing 2 utterances. Then the commissive utterances of the contract form are 1 utterance, and the declarative utterances of the surrender form are 1 utterance. As for the functions of illocutionary speech acts obtained from Megawati's utterances, there are 21 utterances, namely competitive, convival and collaborative utterances. The competitive function tells 3 stories. Konviva thanks 2 utterances and konvival praises 2 utterances. The collaborative function of the 14 utterances is, 2 speculating expressions, 10 informing utterances and 2 reporting utterances.
